About us – Ujwal.org

Ujwal.org is a non-profit setup primarily focused on eliminating poverty in rural areas by means of increased employment. We want to uncover new ways to employ the rural poor so they generate sustainable income and lead happier lives. We firmly believe everyone on this planet has the right to live a happy life. No one should go hungry, fall sick and die due to trivial and preventable diseases. There is enough provided for all by our planet Earth. It’s just unfortunate that a very small percentage of the human population enjoys a very large part of what this planet has to offer. One way or the other, this very small fraction of the (rich) population is also not doing enough for the rest of the people of the world. Our mission is to do whatever we can to provide these deprived people with tools such as employment and education that will help them climb the ladder and join the development the entire world is witnessing. We want to start with providing the rural people with funds to start their own business, generate jobs within their community,educate and train them on new skills that can be applied to earn a decent living. We believe, once people start working and seeing the fruits of their labor, they will be encouraged to do more. We think this wave could be very viral and spread rapidly. We hope we will be able to make a positive difference to the lives of people we come in contact with. Help us get people out of poverty and bring happiness in their lives.
